People who are planning to attend a stag do abroad may need to check their travel insurance policies, according to an expert.
Anna Makin Made, the project manager of stag and hen event specialists Designaventure, has stated that men need to ensure that they are covered for taking part in potentially dangerous activities.
She added that anyone heading on such a weekend or break away should "definitely" have cover.
"We advise everyone to take out their own insurance and check that they are covered for the activities that they're doing," she explained.
"Sometimes there's a little clause saying they don't cover for machine gun shooting, so they need to check with their insurance company that they are covered."
Figures published by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2005 found that 70 per cent of young British people prefer to spend their stag and hen weekends abroad.
The same survey found that 24 per cent of such people had encountered problems while away, including losing their passport.
